¡Trae lo mejor del trazado de curvas de nivel a los SIG!
SurfLink is a software program for creating contour maps in MapInfo Professional or ArcGIS using Surfer for Windows. SurfLink was developed in 1997 and has been commercially available since then.
SurfLink takes you through a series of wizard-like interactive steps in creating a contour map. Cue cards are provided for first time users. Contour lines, Surfer grid data, and color-filled regions (with corresponding contour values) are exported instantly as MapInfo or ArcGIS layers.
Advanced contour map operations such as (1) contour grid rotation, (2) erasing (or blanking) a portion of the contour map, and (3) log-transform of data are also available.
Using cue-cards, SurfLink takes you through the gridding options of Surfer. You can take advantage of Surfer's wealth of gridding options while maintaining your data in GIS. Surfer is well-known in the scientific community for the wealth of contouring options. Now you bring the best of the contouring techniques to your GIS maps. |
Contour regions may be filled gradation of colors or fill patterns in Surfer. SurfLinks imports these as region polygons in MapInfo and ArcGIS, and along with the contour values (low and high values) associated with each filled region.
Bring the Z values with the contoured regions can be very useful for further geographic analyses in the GIS package.
